Ritornano gli introvabili rip di Raffaele: stavolta mi ha inviato l'esordio su nastro dei canadesi Third World Planet, uno tra i millemila progetti ai quali ha dato vita l'eclettico e poliedrico artista giramondo Eric Boros (per capire meglio di cosa e chi stiamo parlando, date un'occhiata alla sua discografia e fatevi venire il mal di testa). I T.W.P., una sorta di two-men-band (Jason Flower alla batteria e Boros alla chitarra) aperta a collaborazioni varie, debuttarono nel 1995 proprio con questo nastro e rimasero in vita per altri quattro anni, durante i quali pubblicarono una marea di ep, cassette e split. Nelle dieci tracce di World waste a dominare è soprattutto il cantato acido e probabilmente un po' effettato di quella che dovrebbe essere una ragazza (tale Caro), che urla le intelligenti e arrabbiate liriche del disco su un tappeto sonoro fatto sostanzialmente di crust punk, con qualche accelerazione powerviolence o grind, numerosi cambi di tempo e una tendenza innata al caos più totale.Ottimi quindi questi canadesi, peccato solo che il nastro abbia accusato parecchio il passare degli anni e in alcuni punti la registrazione risulti un po' ovattata.
Vi segnalo infine che l'instancabile Eric è attualmente in giro per l'Europa con i Vialka: sono lui e la sua morosa che, come mi dice Raffaele, 'propongono una musica tutta loro, uno strano mix di sonorità east europee, punk, sperimentazione, klezmer, musica russa...'
