Come anticipato nel post della mirabolante compilation No more sexism, ecco l'album completo degli svizzeri Forehead che Raff aveva promesso di spedirmi. As usual, anche stavolta è praticamente impossibile trovare informazioni su questa band elvetica, per cui non posso fare altro che limitarmi a parlare della loro musica. Partiamo però dal libretto, graficamente davvero ben fatto, che ci permette di apprezzare meglio le ottime liriche che accompagnano i 14 brani del cd: diritti umani e schiavitù; animalismo, maschilismo e rapporto uomo-donna; denuncia dell'aids come business farmaceutico; brainwashing mediatico; sono molte le tematiche affrontate dai quattro svizzeri, intervallate da testi più personali, sempre carichi di rabbia. La loro musica, invece, è un crossover di funk e hardcore magistralmente eseguito (bassone in slapping furioso; chitarra a volte metallica, a volte nervosa e rockeggiante; batteria cazzuta e poliedrica), soooo anni '90, eppure dannatamente efficace e adatto al cantato spesso quasi rappato. Se riuscite, immaginatevi un bizzaro ibrido tra NOMEANSNO e INFECTIOUS GROOVES (senza tutta la tamarraggine e i chugga-chugga di questi ultimi). Dategli un ascolto che meritano.Tracklist:
